Ok so the post I made a few months ago about Busta being dropped....well it happened, sort of. Busta announced Monday (Sep. 22) that he had cut ties with Aftermath/Interscope and had signed to Motown Universal. So what happened to Blessed? That album was suppose to be the album Busta fan have been waiting for since Genesis or The Big Bang depending on who you talk to. While it is still unclear rather he was dropped or asked to be let go, we will have to wait until December to get Busta's next offering. I don't know if he was able to take Blessed with him to Universal because in an interview he stated that the new album coming out in December would be titled B.O.M.B (Back On My Bulls**t), which was actually the original title, so hey I guess he is back on his BS. Busta did say him and Dr. Dre were still cool and he thanked Jimmy Iovine for putting up the money for two video singles.This leaves another question open...is Interscope FINALLY fed up with the way things are being run at Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit? That may very well be the case. Dr.Dre has been promising them (and everyone else) an album for the last eight years, Eminem has been on a "vacation" and is just now deciding to come back and do an album, and 50 is out doing movies. All of the people they have signed to those camps have not been making any noise (or money) for the label. 50 dropped most of G-Unit already and the Rumors for Lloyd Banks and Def Jam don't help. Both Dre and Em have people signed that have been waiting in the wings. Stat Quo was suppose to drop an album like three or four years ago, Cashis and Bobby Creekwater have been more than silent, and the only one looking promising (for the moment) is Bishop Lamont, who might be the only one Interscope keeps!! But I don't know for sure just yet....
