Well it looks like one of my favorite Hip-Hop business moguls may be on the outs. After successfully running Café Dupri in the Buckhead area of ATL since 2005, Jermaine Dupri has decided to closes the health conscious café due to a dramatically changing climate in the US. But that's not all. Apparently there has been some frustrated employees who have been venting about not being paid....that may be a slight problem if I do say so myself. And there seems to be some problems with them getting paid...like bounced checks (ouch!). Here is the AllHipHop story:

And if it couldn't get any worse, it looks like JD might be getting his walking papers from Island/Def Jam. A source says do to failed sales of Janet Jackson's Discipline, Mariah Carey's E=MC2, ANND Jonta Austin's often delayed and eventually selved Ocean Drive, JD is just not making the cut or producing the numbers that IDJ wants (neglecting the fact that JD makes hits and that record sells have been down since 2006)...well this is not confirmed yet so I won't jump the gun on JD being made to walk the plank. I wonder what LA Reid and Doug Morris would have to say about it...hmmmmm...more so LA since he was the one that championed along with Jay-Z to get JD over to IDJ and LA and Dupri have always been cool. Well then...
