Busta's New Album Delayed Due To Sampling Conflicts
After a highly anticipated July 1st release date, Busta Rhymes faces sampling conflicts that may postpone his upcoming album, Blessed, to a August release.
Busta recently did an interview with Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg where he explained why the album has been delayed.
"We just pushed [the album] about six to eight weeks because we having a little issue with two samples that I'm about eight five percent away getting cleared," he said. "I don't wanna change the songs because it'll change the feel of the record."
Admitting that the changed release date is strictly due to the administrative process and wanting to keep the essence of the sampled songs, Busta also hinted at what is essential in any of his albums.
"You can't have a Busta Rhymes album without a J Dilla. Just in case y'all ain't familiar, every Busta Rhymes solo album has a J Dilla production on it," he confirmed. "From the first Busta Rhymes solo joint all the way to The Big Bang - every album has had a J Dilla track. We gonna continue that legacy."
The Flipmode general will have a busy summer as he prepares to go on the "Projekt Revolution Tour" with Linkin Park next month.
