Young Jeezy & The Game Get Their Own XM Radio Shows
Music lovers from the West Coast and South will receive equal representation this week, when XM Radio debuts a pair of new shows featuring rappers The Game and Young Jeezy.
The hour-long shows, which are slated to air on XM’s Channel 66 Raw Hip-Hop station, will include a different host who will play music and interview other artists each week.
The Game’s show, Black Wall Street Radio, will feature the Compton, California MC and a rotating roster of hosts that includes Juice, Nu Jersey Devil and DJ Haze.
The show will air at 8 p.m. ET every Friday beginning June 6. C.T.E. Radio will premiere on Saturday (June 7) and features Young Jeezy as well as fellow hosts, Blood Raw, Slick Pulla, Roccett, 211 and DJ Infamous from Atlanta-based Corporate Thugz Entertainment.
The show will air at 6 p.m. ET every Saturday. The debut of the new shows come as XM celebrates Black Music Month.
The station will broadcast a variety of special programs highlighting live performances and interviews with influential artists this month, to highlight musical contributions made by African-Americans.
Artists featured include rapper Flo-Rida, Ne-Yo, Jeffrey Osborne, Teyanna Taylor, Karina, Howard Hewitt and Quincy Jones.
As previously reported, XM will premiere Dipset Radio, a new show featuring members of the Harlem-based rap collective, on Thursday (June 5).
Rappers Cam’Ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Duke Da God, Hell Rell, JR Writer, Freekey Zekey and 40 Cal will alternate as hosts for the show, which will air at 8 p.m. ET on Thursdays.
